Iran and America
Headed to the National Storytelling Summit in Fremont California in July, but had a bit of a hiccup on the way. Because I had travelled to Iran in 2013 I had to attend the American Embassy for an interview. They wanted to know why I'd been there. After waiting waiting, passport and visa finally arrived. Reposting my Iranian adventure. it had me thinking on similarities rather than differences.

When I was still working as an assistant teacher, storytelling is actually one of the things that we all love to do. It just actually feels so good knowing that there are kids who are willing and happy to listen to what you say. Besides, it also feels nice to know stories that I wasn't able to hear or even read back when I was still a kid. Anyway, I have to say that what I really love telling them about are stories that have lots of life lessons that they can learn in the end. We also have our recap session wherein I ask them questions about the story and whoever gets the correct answer will be given some rewards.
